چکیده
In this study, academic staff residential buildings were studied as part of a university campus located in hot and humid climate zone Türkiye. Within the scope energy efficient architectural landscape design decisions built 1976 examined. The aim was to determine performance about 50 years ago quantify effect changing conditions on thermal comfort. aim, outdoor comfort level determined by creating microclimate simulations for hottest day time year. Microclimatic analyses performed with ENVI-met software evaluated two metrics, average PMV ASHRAE scale. using ecological parameters. An approach global environmental problems is use principles, including principles. It important consider both criteria when discussing environment. Architectural regions together increased efficiency 51.1% 75.5%. found that although plant improves range value, it improved 15% 22%. As result, study climate-balanced building order improve

Building Design for Hot and Humid Climates – Implications on Thermal Comfort and Energy Efficiency
The paper discusses the concept of an adaptive thermal comfort design methodology and its impact on the selection, design and performance of climate control systems for large public spaces with transient occupancy in hot and humid climates. It outlines the design methodology which is based on providing localised comfort conditions to zones within a building based on its occupancy patterns, acti...
متن کاملImpact of Climate Change on Outdoor Thermal Comfort and Health in Tropical Wet and Hot Zone (Douala), Cameroon
Abstract Background and purpose:Climate change has an important role on the health and productivity of the occupant of the building. The objective of this study is to estimate the effects of climate change on thermal comfort in hot and wet areas, as in the case of the city of Douala. Materials and Methods:The general circulation model (CSMK3 Model, Scenario B1) was adopted for this purpose.Outd...
متن کاملOutdoor thermal comfort and urban design in warm-humid Guayaquil, Ecuador
Deteriorated urban microclimate and poor outdoor thermal comfort is an increasing problem in cities in the tropics due to the combined effect of urban and global warming. Microclimate measurements (wind speed, air temperature and humidity, and globe temperature) were carried out in different parts of the warm-humid city Guayaquil, Ecuador. Simultaneously about 400 persons were asked for their s...
متن کاملEcological Design of Urban Landscape
Paying attention to the spatial placement of the elements (man-made or natural) based on the landscape pattern and ecological processes in urban design would have a considerable impact on both human and the nature. In a way that the discords in the placement of patchs in respect to each other, or in respect to visual corridors and urban matrixes lead to the unwanted results in the cities. The e...
متن کاملEffect of climate change on outdoor thermal comfort in humid climates
BACKGROUND Galicia, in northwest Spain, experiences warm summers and winters. However, the higher relative humidity that prevails the whole year through and the location of the summer hot points are related to real weather heat stroke in the hottest season. However, Planet Global Heating was recently analyzed for the climate in Galicia. Climate change was found to be able to trigger effects tha...
